Hi All,
Quick update for you. We have Big Andys OLR Final in the USA to look forward to for closing off the 2526 season. Then we move on to 26/27 season.
As you know we have one big syndicate for the UK Premier this year with 25 birds in it, 10 Zwols, 10 Pioneer and 5 direct Maurice O’Donnells.
Other than that, John Gladwin and I had a good catch-up call last night (harder than it sounds, as John is one of the most busy/stressed people I know and getting a good catchup time with him is rare lol)
Anyway, aside from new USA OLRs we will be going into (pending conversations between Isaac etc) we have a plan for the races we are going to be having syndicates in this coming year.
The reality for last year was there were too many syndicates and too many birds , on reflection I went too big too quick with them, which caused pressure to get them filled, and many of them didnt fill.)
This year we are changing back a few things:
- All syndicates will have 100 spots only. (Like we did in the first year and easier for new people to figure out, 1 spot = 1% of the syndicate.)
- We are reducing the number of pigeons in each syndicate, this will make each spot cheaper to buy and not put as much pressure on us behind the scenes.
- We are doing merged syndicates, like the UK Premier, we will have one big syndicate. For races that have a max number of pigeons per team, we will have multiple teams, but the key difference is that there will be birds from John and me in each team.)
So at the moment, after last night we will have the following OLR syndicates, which over the next few weeks will be launched:
- Pattaya OLR – 5 bird team
- Thailand Masters – 10 bird team
- Algarve Golden OLR – 5 bird team.
- Dubai OLR – 8 birds team. (After Justins inspiring and great result there this year, John and I are determined to try and crack the code with this one in particular.)
If these fill up quickly (after John and I take 20 spots of each syndicate so there will be 60 spots available for each syndicate) I am open to the idea of doing other syndicates.
We previously mentioned, going in other UK OLRs, my take on it is to wait this year as Im really not sure about it, for John and I the UK premier is hands down the best UK OLR around and our focus is well and truly building on last years success.
